Victor: The word on the street is that youʼre the King of New York. How do you respond to those claims?
Alex: I never thought people would label me as King of New York. Those are strong words for one to carry.Maybe its because of all the comps I've won here or simply the fact that I stand out from the crowd.Whatever it is,I thank and cherish my fans for recognizing the difference.I'm just like everyone else with a little more swag.
Victor: Which do you prefer skating competitions or videos?
Alex: Cant really say,I like both in a way.I enjoy filming for sections in videos. There are no regulations,no one telling you what to skate, you skate what you desire.Competitions are more based on testing my ability and skills;working with the spot at hand.Plus I'm motivated by the winning prizes.

Victor: For the 2007 LMS competition you predicted a head of time that you were going to win. How were you able to make such a prediction?
Alex: Well I had just lost my job a few days before the comp. That build up the drive to play the game right and win.I was focused.
Victor: What did you do with your prize money?
Alex: Paid my bills.
Victor: What goes through you mind before you do a trick?
Alex: Oh the secret. Before I do a trick,I envision me doing that trick and also get a sense of what it would feel like lacing(completing) it.After that I let go of all fear and attack like kids with candy.
Victor: What would your ideal competition be like?
Alex: My Ideal Comp would begin at 2pm and end around 7pm,no one likes to wake up too early to roll or at least I don't.It would start with a mini comp. for those up and coming kids who want apart of the sport.More involvement like free throw outs with-in the short sessions.A DJ and a variety of legit skating spots.

Victor: What are your thoughts on Trevor Johnson winning the 2008 LMS comp?
Alex: I asked him if he wanted to win,so I said fine.
Victor: What is the LMS lacking and what are your suggestions on fixing it?
Alex: They could search and pick out better spots. The management needs more fine tuning on organizing the comp.Plan ahead of time so people can prepare.Advertise on the web and on flyers.Raise money so they can raise the money.Skaters wont have to pay much to enter.
Victor: Anyone in particular you like skating with in competitions?
Alex: Not anyone in particular but I'd like to see everyone I know there.
Victor: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? (skating & personal)
Alex: I would love to still be skating, that's if my body lets me.Hope that the Industry will expand more than it is now and be apart of it somehow.I see myself settled down in my own place with wifey.Possibly be finished on my degree in radiology.
